About Me
I am an artist and art educator living and working in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. After a career in government, I found new purpose in artistic expression. I started my art career as a photographer, working as a successful portrait and events photographer. While primarily a self-taught artist, I have taken what I learned from a variety of artists in workshops and classes and developed a style that reflects my view of the world in texture, line, form and color. I have exhibited at the juried Glen Echo Art Show, the Yellow Barn and The Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA. I have also been juried in to the Ice House Cooperative in Berkeley Springs, WV. I teach Explorations in Oil and Cold Wax at the Art League in Alexandria, VA and The Yellow Barn in Glen Echo, MD. I also teach privately arranged small group classes in my home studio.
